Hi, I'm Judge Schwartz
YOUR TOWN JUSTICE SINCE 2018
Judge Schwartz presides over felony arraignments and has trial jurisdiction over misdemeanors, petty offenses, traffic violations, town ordinances and state property maintenance code violations. She also adjudicates small claims and landlord tenant evictions and claims. She has served as the senior Judge of the Monroe Town Court since 2020.

ACCESSIBLE MAGISTRATE
Judge Schwartz is an ACCESSIBLE MAGISTRATE exercising criminal jurisdiction in juvenile and adolescent matters.
Judge Schwartz has obtained over $13,900 of Justice Court Assistance Program Grants, plus a $27k grant approval for 2025, to make the Monroe Town Court more accessible, effective and efficient.
Judge Schwartz implemented foreign language specific traffic dockets ensuring the presence of qualified interpreters to assist defendants effectively and efficiently.
As LEAD COORDINATOR OF THE ORANGE COUNTY CENTRALIZED ARRAIGNMENT PART SINCE 2024, Judge Schwartz is responsible for administering and coordinating all off-hour arraignments by all Orange County Town, Village and City judges. She was the Assistant Coordinator in 2022 and 2023.
Audra Schwartz is an ATTORNEY WITH OVER 30 YEARS EXPERIENCE in New York and New Jersey State and Federal Courts and the American Arbitration Association.

Audra, her husband and two sons moved to the Town of Monroe in 2002. She has worked tirelessly for the Town and its community for decades and hopes to continue that work as your Town Justice for another four years.
Audra is Endorsed by the Town of Monroe Democratic Committee and the Working Families Party.
